A cultural journey through Italy
The Italian Foundation is thrilled to offer young Italian-Canadians a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rediscover their roots and immerse themselves in the rich culture of their ancestral homeland. Through the Discover Your Roots initiative, young adults from Montreal’s Italian-Canadian community will have the chance to travel to Italy (certain conditions apply), not just as tourists—but as locals.

This unforgettable journey is designed to deepen cultural understanding, spark personal discovery, and strengthen ties to your Italian heritage. Participants will return inspired, enriched, and ready to share their stories, traditions, and newfound perspectives with our community.
The Trip
Discover Your Roots is a FREE, culturally enriching, 19 day group trip to Italy for young adults between 21-30 years old of Italian origin (value of $ 11 000 CAD). The group will be comprised of approximately 25 participants, 2 tour leaders and several guides.
Expenses covered include airfare, local transportation, accommodations, entry access to activities/tours/sites, and 1 group dinner per city visited. Additional meals and spending money are at the discretion of the participants.
